What To Do When You Are a Female Losing Your Hair

You wake up one morning, and you go to style your hair. You brush it the way that you always do and notice, as you have in the past few mornings, a few extra hairs on your brush. You know, however, that most women can lose anywhere from 60 to 100 hairs per day without there having to be anything wrong. You then take your hair and try to pull it back, as it’s hot outside and you want to be cool. It is then that you notice that your hair looks a bit thinner. When you mess around with your hair for a few minutes, you may notice that you can even see your scalp. This is something that has never happened before and you realize that you’re dealing with female hair loss . What do you do?

First Things First

The first thing you need to do is to calm down. There are a variety of things that can cause hair loss that occurs on a woman, and while many women will jump straight to the “something is seriously wrong with me” conclusion, this is not necessarily the case. Women who are dealing with losing their hair need to first figure out what is causing the loss. Is it stress that is causing the hair to thin? Is it hormones? Or is it that you’re not getting enough nutrients?

Concealing

Some women decide that they will conceal their problem rather than search for a female hair loss treatment. They may look to their hairstylist to begin with. Most hairstylists do have a number of tricks up their sleeves to deal with hair that is thinning, and the most common one is to curl the hair. By having your hair put into a perm you’re much less likely to notice the scalp. This, however, doesn’t solve the problem and only disguises it. Other women will choose to go with wigs, as it is easy to get a wig that makes you look wonderful and that covers up your balding areas. Wigs cover the entire head and so they make it a simple matter to hid your shame. This, however, is often an expensive option as it costs quite a bit to get a wig made from real hair that actually looks good and fits well.
If you’ve decided that you’d rather treat the hair loss in women, there are a variety of treatments available to you. These treatment options are often very inexpensive, especially if you choose the herbal options, and are painless. They work to make the hair follicles work once again, allowing you to have your own hair back before you know it.
