Male Hair Loss

If you are suffering from hair loss problems, the chances are very good you have encountered several male hair loss myths along the way.  For most, these myths often include information regarding general hair loss treatments for men as well as natural male hair loss treatment methods. Unfortunately, it can be difficult to tell fact from fiction in the world of hair loss. Natural hair loss treatments, in particular, are subject to a lot of myths that are simply not true when the different natural hair loss remedy plans are actually considered.  While it would be impossible to cover the entire list of myths related to male hair loss in one posting, some of the major ones that have not already been dealt with before are below for your consideration.

Myth #1 -  The best hair loss treatment is the most expensive one. This is an idea that has been posted on a regular basis, and it hides behind the idea that you get what you pay for in most cases.  Unfortunately, it may be one that has caused you to waste valuable time and money. There is not one bit of truth to this argument in terms of male or female hair loss treatment.  The primary reason that this argument is flawed is that there is no single cure that works 100% of the time.  The cure that works for you could be the most expensive thing you ever encounter, or it could be something you already have in the vegetable drawer of your fridge.  It is very difficult to know beforehand what will work and what won’t and that is precisely why this is most definitely one of the larger male hair loss myths.

Myth #2 – Bald Men Are Impotent. People have often argued that a man that does not have hair is completely unable to start a family.  While most men who are actually bald know from first-hand evidence that this is not true, at the same time just hearing and believing the myth can allow this myth to become a sort of self fulfilling prophecy.  In order to avoid that type of thinking, you need to look at male hair loss in a way that does not tie it to potency or fertility.  There has never been any evidence in any type of male hair loss study that has even come close to tying those two concepts together and since there are many studies that have tried, the most obvious conclusion to draw would be that male hair loss does not imply either of the two.

Myth #3 – Hair Loss is Lifestyle Related. One more myth that you will hear regarding male hair loss is that it is directly related to behaviors like drinking alcohol or doing drugs.  While this seems to be firmly rooted an anti-alcohol and anti-drug coalition propaganda, many people buy into it on a regular basis.  The truth is that baldness in men is caused by a number of things both environmental and genetic in nature and while alcohol and drugs can contribute by increasing stress levels, there has never been a direct link established.
