Some Methods for Hair Loss Prevention

There are a number of different methods out there that you can use for hair loss prevention, but many people underestimate how much personal behavior can actually contribute to the idea of hair loss.  Whether you are thinking about female hair loss treatment or male hair loss treatment, a point that you cannot avoid is the idea that prevention is more than half the battle.  The idea of hair loss prevention implies that we are dealing with environmental conditions that have caused your hair loss problem and this is something that is true in the cases of more people than is generally known amongst the general public.

For example, very few people are aware of the fact that their very hairstyle can actually lead to hair loss prevention.  Anything that can stop hair loss can be thought of as a natural hair loss remedy, and in that vein of thinking, the best hair loss treatment is really one that stops it from happening in the first place.

Consider, for example, the perm.  It is a very common procedure that women do all of the time throughout the world.  Young girls do it when they want to look nice for a picture or when they are going to the prom and want their look that night to be absolutely fantastic.  In addition to that however, women of older ages do it as well simply because it looks nice.

Well, a perm can certainly look nice, but it also puts a lot of stress on your hair.  Any time that you take a hair style and then use that hair style in a way that forces your hair into a position that it would not naturally assume, your hair is weakened in the process because so much of the integrity is compromised when the hair holds that position for a long time.  Think about it in terms of bending a piece of metal back and forth until it breaks, and you should understand exactly what we are talking about.  Your hair works the same way and with too many hairstyles over too short a period of time, you can unfortunately be the harbinger of your own hair loss problem. Perms are great, but they can certainly contribute to an ongoing problem that might otherwise be avoidable.

Does this mean that the only way to be successful in hair loss prevention is to stop styling your hair?  Absolutely not!  However, what it does mean is that you need to be very careful in taking care of your hair if you style it a lot.  Use shampoo that increases the follicle strength of your hair and ingest foods that are high in silica to make sure that the fibers stay strong and wired to the top of your head.  Do a bit of research into which styles could damage your hair growth. If you take care of your hair properly, you can then style it without having to fear what the consequences might be.
