So much has happened this week that I really don’t know where to begin.
Justine was in a car accident on the way to work and when I heard about it, I immediately went to my boss and explained the situation. He was more than understanding and let me go immediately, promising to take over the meeting with the one remaining client I had that day and explain the situation to the client. I rushed over to the hospital where she’d been admitted and ran into her father. He looked a bit downtrodden, but managed to let me know that she was fine. She was resting, he said, but wanted him to tell me that she was going to be alright.
That was a relief for me and I stayed with her father, talking about any topic in order to get our minds off the fact that Justine was lying in a hospital bed. She was released a few hours later however and was told to be on bed rest for at least the next two days. I called back to the firm and explained the situation, asking if it would be possible for me to take my clients over the phone for the next couple of days. I could tell by the tone of his voice that my boss had a bit more trouble granting this request than the last one, but in light of my performance over the last little while he eventually relented and allowed me to do things my way.
I spent the next two days by Justine’s side, except when I needed to talk to the clients. I did that in the next room and closed the door so that I didn’t disturb her from resting. Her father was in town for a few more days and came by to see her when he could and remarked that he’d never seen one of her boyfriends as dedicated as me. This made me feel good and I found myself telling him about how close his daughter and I had become over the last two weeks. This seemed to be well received and at the end of the second day when Justine was back to her normal self he wished the two of us well before departing for his next business trip.
Before I left, Justine asked to speak to me and when she did she told me that she knew she wanted to spend the rest of her life with me. I looked at her in surprise since this seemed like a big jump but she said that when I was taking care of her, she’d finally learned everything she needed to know to know that I was the one for her.
Overcome by emotion, I told her that I was head over heels in love with her and that I too wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. We kissed and ordered a pizza since both of us were too drained (I emotionally and she physically) to go out or make anything at home. After eating dinner we cuddled on the couch and watched a movie, before falling asleep together for the first time.
I would never have dreamed that starting a treatment like Provillus would give me this kind of confidence to get the life I’ve come to love.
