My older brother started losing his hair when he was about 25, and I picked on him mercilessly. When I turned 25, I began checking my hair in the mirror every day, sure that I was going to lose my hair the way that he had lost his. I didn’t, and I felt lucky to escape the fate my brother had fallen into. Then, right before I turned 30, I noticed that my hair was receding. Within two years I went from having a full head of hair to having a noticeable receding hairline. I guess my brother got the last laugh on that one.
My brother said that he’d used Provillus, and that it had helped him to grow back some of his hair. When I looked at his hair, I really didn’t notice much of a difference, but I decided to try the product anyway.
So far, at seven weeks, I’m not really sure what I can say about the product. I mean, my hair isn’t receding anymore, but I can’t tell if it’s growing out or not. I’ve read some reviews from people who swore that their hair grew back in after six weeks, but mine definitely hasn’t. The hairline has stayed in the same spot, though, which is something. I’m almost tempted to use a marker to mark exactly how far back my hairline is, so that I can truly see if it is growing back, but I think that would be a little too obvious.
I’m going to give Provillus another few months, and if it doesn’t make my hair grow back, I’ll probably stop using it. I am happy, however, that it stopped the hair from going back any further, so that’s something, but I really hoped that it would help all of my hair grow back in quickly, which it hasn’t.
Matt
