A lot has been made of recent amino acid discoveries that claim to help men and women keep the hair they have and help them grow additional hair in the near future. While these amino acids can easily be added to the diet, either in pill form or from simply indulging in foods that contain them, there are still regular vitamins that you can take each day that have been linked to a healthy scalp and healthier hair. Let’s take a look at just a few of the most popular vitamins for hair loss.
Our good friend Vitamin A is a vitamin you can’t live without if you plan on having a healthy scalp. Not only is Vitamin A responsible for overall good health in the body, it has been linked to the development of healthy sebum in the scalp. Without healthy sebum, our hair doesn’t have a prime environment to grow and stay healthy. Sick hair usually leads to hair that is falling out everywhere.
Much like Vitamin A, Vitamin C also helps keep our skin and hair healthy. While you can get all of the Vitamin C you need in a multi-vitamin, it is a lot more fun to simply get what you need from a glass of orange juice.
Vitamin E may not help you much with your sebum, but it does help with circulation, and studies have shown that many people start to suffer from hair loss due to poor circulation to the scalp and throughout the body. Don’t let the first beginnings of hair loss start, make sure you get all the Vitamin E you need each and every day.
Finally, Vitamin B12 has been linked directly to overall follicle health. Fish and eggs can get you the Vitamin B12 you need to live a healthy life, or you can get it from a top level multi vitamin.

Very helpful information.
You can actually prevent hair loss with Biotin, here’s how:
Biotin, also known as vitamin H, is a part of the vitamin B complex.
Biotin helps to maintain healthy hair and skin and therefore in some men helps to prevent hair loss.
Deficiency of biotin makes the hair look unhealthy and fragile.

I have read that taking a children vitamin is the best. They say that most vitamins that are sold for adults are overdosed and not absorbed into the blood as well.

dear Brenda I totally agree with Jason! Pantene is not a good shampoo! Don’t let their sly marketing get you. I know many women who have experienced itchy scalp after using it. I,too, like Jason Got painful itchy bumps when i used it . They all went away after I stopped using it! I even have a friend who has been using it for so long that her hair is thinning and falling out. She is only 27.
